Types of Membership through MAC
MAC offers two membership categories:
- Individual Membership
- Institutional Membership
Annual membership is based on a calendar year, January 1st through December 31st. Forms received between October 1st and December 31st will be applied to the next calendar year.
Individual Membership are available at the following levels:
- Standard individual rate: $55 per year
- First time member rate: $35 per year
- Students1, interns, and volunteers rate: $20 per year
- Sustaining member rate2: $100 per year
- Financial hardship rate3: $0 for one year
1 A copy of a student ID is required.
2 Sustaining members show their dedication to MAC by providing the organization with a dependable source of revenue to support the MAC mission, programs, and activities. Sustaining member names are listed in the PDF program for the Annual Meeting (optional).
3 To be eligible for the hardship rate, a member must: a) be a current MAC member in good standing for the last two (2) years; b) have loss of income through termination, resignation, contract end, layoff, furlough, or government shutdown; and c) have not used the financial hardship rate within the last three (3) years.

- Voting via ballot for MAC Council and other leadership positions
- Biannual conference programs and preregistration information

Institutional Memberships are $100 per year and bring your institution the following benefits:
- MAC Newsletter
- Archival Issues, MAC's journal
- MACinars virtual sessions and workshops
- Online Membership Directory
- Biannual conference programs and pre-registration information
- Registration for two staff members per conference at the discounted member rate
