Nominating Committee Request for Candidate Suggestions
The MAC Nominating Committee is now compiling its list of potential candidates for the leadership positions that will be filled in the 2011 election: President, Secretary, two members of Council, and two members of the Nominating Committee. The duties of each position are summarized in the MAC Bylaws.
We would like all MAC members to recommend competent, qualified, and enthusiastic members who can guide MAC over the next few years. We encourage you to submit the names of potential candidates representing all types of repositories (academic, business, government, historical society, museum, public library, religious, and/or research library).
Don’t miss this opportunity to help shape the leadership of MAC and to have a voice in its affairs! If you have names that you would like the Nominating Committee to consider for the 2011 election, please submit them (along with a brief rationale) via E-mail to Martha Briggs, Nominating Committee Chair (briggsm@newberry.org). For full consideration, please respond by September 1, 2010.
2011 Annual Meeting Call for Proposals
The Midwest Archives Conference invites submissions of presentations, sessions, workshops, and papers for its annual meeting to be held April 28-30, 2011 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The MAC Program Committee invites proposals on all aspects of archives and archival work, but is also seeking proposals that focus on the meeting's theme of "Headwaters of History."

Proposals are due by September 1, 2010.
2011 Annual Meeting First Mention
The 2010 Annual Meeting may be a recent memory, but it is time to look forward to St. Paul! The 2011 Local Arrangements Committee is offering Twitter updates as plans are being made. Follow along at @2011MAC.
2010 Meeting Presentations
All presenters at the MAC 2010 meeting in Chicago are welcome to post copies of their presentations for others to view in the MAC Forums. To do so, please go to the 2010 Chicago Presentations under the MAC Forums. MAC members should log in first to associate their presentation with their account.
Please be sure to include your name and title of presentation/session. For ease of use, please convert all presentations to PDF format and reduce the file size to a minimal level. Feel free to post additional comments or ask questions of presenters that you didn't get to ask at the meeting. All comments and presentations will be available for one year unless removed by the original author.
Revisit the 2010 Annual Meeting
If you were not able to attend MAC's Annual Meeting in Chicago, April 22-24 or could not attend every session you wanted to see, then use some of the following sites to help you revisit the meeting.
