UPDATED Note on Construction: Exit 204 East Lawrence will be open for travel this weekend. Detour directions are not necessary.

By Air: Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is within an hour’s drive of Lawrence and the Marriott SpringHill Suites.

For transportation to the SpringHill Suites from MCI:

If you don’t intend to sight-see in the area, you should not need a rental car; the SpringHill Suites are situated on the North end of the historic downtown district, which features many local restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues. http://downtownlawrence.com

For those interested, KU’s campus is a 1.5 mile uphill walk from the hotel (uphill in Kansas?! Believe it!) By bus, the KU on Wheels bus service ($1 a ride) stops at 9th & Massachusetts Sts (3 easy blocks from the hotel) will take you to campus. http://www.kuonwheels.ku.edu
