2017 MAC Election Results
MAC's 2017 ballot featured 11 candidates vying for four offices: President, Secretary, Council, and Nominating Committee. Elected to serve are:
MAC is grateful to last year's Nominating Committee members for their service and to all those individuals who put their names forward for the 2017 ballot. And thanks to the 31% of voting-eligible MAC members who voted in this election!
"Exploring Access and Privacy Legal Issues for Archivists, Librarians, and Information Professionals" taught by Menzi Behrnd-Klodt is an in-depth course on access and privacy legal issues encountered by today's archivists, librarians, and curators. Get ready for the 2017 MAC election! Individual MAC members in good standing on January 31, 2017 can cast their votes online between February 13 and March 5, 2017. Beginning with the 2017 election, MAC has adopted a fixed membership join/renewal date for individuals to participate in the annual election, and moved the start of the election to the second Monday in February.

After receiving Council approval to continue as a long-term program at the spring 2016 meeting, the Speaker's Bureau is back! See the MAC Speakers Bureau website for more information about the program.
The Education Committee is seeking to flesh out its existing listing of available workshops (coming early in 2017) and we need your help! The MAC region has a lot of talented professionals with a wide variety of skill sets. If you're interested in teaching a workshop for MAC, either at an annual meeting or as part of the Speaker's Bureau, we'd love to hear from you. You can simply complete this workshop proposal form.
